In this section, we will discuss some of the more popular tools that are used for administering a Linux server. We'll try not to get too deep into program particulars but instead give users a casual introduction to what works well in Linux and what doesn't.
If you are a system administrator or a software developer, tools will help to simplify your life and make you more productive. Most of the tools we talk about here will be installed by default with every major version of Linux out there. If a tool is not installed on your system, you should be able to easily install it (assuming you have an Internet connection) by using your distros preferred package manager.
